Introducing PIPs NextGen: A Stronger Platform, Zero Disruption
The identity platform behind PIPs has been rebuilt from the ground up. Same simple parent experience your families already trust, now running on enterprise-grade infrastructure designed to scale with your school for the next decade.
THE UPGRADE, WITHOUT THE UPHEAVAL
If you’re already a PIPs school, here’s the short version: nothing changes for your parents, and everything gets better behind the scenes.
We’ve moved PIPs onto a new identity engine purpose-built for schools operating at scale, backed by Australian hosting and dedicated test environments. Your families keep the login they already know. Your IT team gets a platform that’s faster to support, easier to audit, and built to handle what’s next, whether that’s a new SIS, a new integration, or simply more parents.
BUILT ON MODERN IDENTITY INFRASTRUCTURE
The engine changed. The trust didn’t.
PIPs NextGen runs on a dedicated, managed identity platform hosted in Australia, giving your school clear data residency and a purpose-built environment. Every school gets its own branded, custom-domain login (still your logo, still your URL, e.g. id.[yourschool].edu.au).
HOW THE TRANSITION WORKS
We plan it with you. A short discovery step confirms your current setup, your SIS, and anything custom about your existing PIPs configuration.
We build your NextGen environment. Your branded login, your domain, your integrations, configured and tested in a dedicated test environment before anything goes live.
We match your parent accounts automatically. Existing PIPs logins are carried across using each parent’s existing email address, no manual data entry, no re-registration.
We cut over on a planned schedule. A defined go-live window, clear communication to your community if you want it, and our team monitoring the switch.
You’re live on NextGen. Same parent experience, stronger platform underneath.
ZERO-DISRUPTION MIGRATION
Your parents don’t lift a finger.
This is the part schools worry about most, and it’s the part we’ve engineered hardest to get right. When your school moves to NextGen, every existing parent account is automatically matched and carried across using their current login details, the same email address and password they already use today.
There’s no bulk re-registration email. No “please reset your password” campaign. No help desk queue on go-live day. Parents sign in exactly as they always have. If your school also happens to be changing student information systems at the same time, we handle that matching too, so one change doesn’t turn into two.
What you’ll notice: a short, planned cutover window managed by our team, clear go-live communication we help you send, and a support team monitoring the switch as it happens.
PROVEN AT SCALE, NOT A LEAP OF FAITH
Already running in production across 30+ schools.
NextGen isn’t a pilot. It’s already live and handling real parent traffic across a growing base of schools in Australia, New Zealand and Asia, integrated with the systems schools actually run: TASS, Veracross and Synergetic among them, plus SAML and OAuth connections into platforms like Schoolbox, Digistorm, iSAMS, Clipboard and Booked.
COMMON QUESTIONS
Will our parents need to create a new account or reset their password?
No. Existing parent accounts are matched automatically using their current login email, so there’s nothing for them to do.
Will our branded login page or custom domain change?
No, your existing branding and custom login URL carry across as part of the migration.
What happens to social and enterprise sign-in options like Google, Microsoft or Apple?
They carry across too. Parents keep whichever sign-in method they’ve been using.
Is there any downtime during the move?
Cutover happens in a short, scheduled window that we manage and communicate in advance.
Is there a cost to move to NextGen?
Yes. The transition is a managed process with a dedicated project team to ensure the best outcome for your school community.
Ready to move your school onto PIPs NextGen?
Your parents won’t notice the switch. Your IT team will notice the difference.
